Hi, I've been planning to upgrade my computer this year since all the new goodies came out. I'm all set to switch back to team Red for CPU (5800X??? but for only $100 more...) and was going to grab a 3080. But the 6800 XT happened. My conundrum is I have a G-Sync monitor which doesn't support Freesync. I was wondering what's your take on choosing the improved performance by pairing AMD CPUs and GPUs with no G-Sync versus sticking with my original plan of the 3080. Any chance the synergy might mitigate the tearing?
