amd lost alot of market share to nvidia if you look at dedicated grapic cards. it's more 2:1 than 1:1 at the moment.

Linus mentioned on the livestream tonight that he does NOT want people copying stuff from directly from other sites like OP did, as it could get the forum owners (ie linus and slick) in trouble for what amounts to plagiarism. Which is not good. It would be best if you put the entire text in a quote box, or better yet if you just linked to the article and provided your own thoughts. Just a heads up! :P

 

Though on the topic of the post, I really, really hope AMD succeeds. They don't need to bring out a 30 core 5W 1TFLOP x86 6GHz chip for 200$ to do it, they just need some better management from what I've heard. If AMD goes down the drain, we all suffer, weather or not you use intel or amd gear (not to mention no more graphics competition, though that would likely get bought out). Basically intel needs more competition and more heat put on them to force more innovation, research, and ultimately faster chips coming out more often.
