AIO/Fan Configurations

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

There's not much point in running a 120mm top exhaust if you're using a 240mm since it would just exhaust fresh air before it reaches any components.

I don't think a 240mm looks that awkward at the top. https://pcpartpicker.com/builds/by_part/VxRzK8#h=216304

If you're going with all matching fans, it's also more cost efficient to not need to replace the AIO fans.

Hey all, I am building another new PC after the arrival of 3000 series GPUs, and 5000 series CPUs, and I would love some feedback on the build I am putting together. I have some specific questions about my AIO/Fan config that I will also ask in this post. I am going with a white and black (mostly white) themed build. These are the parts that I have so far selected:

CPU: AMD 5900x

GPU: Gigabyte 3080 Vision OC

MOBO: Gigabyte B550 Vision D ATX

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (4x8) 3600 CL18

SSD: Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 M.2 2280 2TB NVME SSD

PSU: Corsair RMX 2018 850W 80+ Gold Fully Modular

CASE: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic ATX Full

AIO: Lian Li GALAHAD 360mm RGB 69.17 CFM (Comes With 3 Lian Li Fans)

I want to have 9 fans in the case (including the 360mm AIO), and I want them all to be the same brand so that they can all go in a Corsair Commander Pro Controller (I'm pretty sure that only Corsair fans can go in there). Does anyone have a recommendation for any different white AIO (Preferably 360mm, white radiator, and white mount over the CPU)? I would use the Corsair 360mm AIO, but it only comes in black. I guess I could use the Corsair white 240mm version, but I'm worried that the extra empty 120mm next to the AIO would look weird. I'm planning on putting the AIO with 3 fans on the top of the case as exhaust, 3 fans on the bottom as intake, and 3 fans on the side as intake.

I would love to hear anyone's opinions/thoughts! Please let me know!
