Removing SSD from "Safe Eject" list

Zeke
Go to solution Solved by Levent,

go to bios and disable plug n play on the sata port where your ssd is plugged in

Pretty self-explanatory. Whenever I want to safely eject a flash drive, there's also my system SSD showing up in the list. Is there any way to remove it from there? Not something I can't live without but it kinda bothers me...

Windows 8.1, Crucial M4 64Gb (one of the older revisions, CT064M4SSD2)

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

Might be called "Hot Swap" depending on your manufacturer

That would be awkward, accidentally ejecting your boot drive. I wonder if windows would allow it? Would probably complain about it still being in use.

That was easier than I expected. Thanks to both of you!

Nah, it won't allow it, I've tried to do that just for fun :)
