Save up and get a MSI 760 Hawk, that card is overclocked as hell and a beast for 1080p gaming.

But not a beastly overclocked 760 :P altough the 270x is a bit cheaper.

They both are decent GPUs for the price.

Depends, they are on sale frequently and saving up a few bucks for more performance isn't a bad idea :-)

They cost $290 and sales are a rare to none existent thing is Australia so a fair way out of budget. Would be good to say for more performance but that becomes a bit of a slippery slope, in the way if you spend 50 more you might as well spend 80 and so on then you go way over your budget

You can always spend a certain amount of money extra to get a better tier product =\

The R9 270X is the best card out of the ones you mentioned though a GTX 760, which doesn't cost that much more will be even better. The GTX 760 = the R9 280 which is soon to be released (formerly 7950).

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 - 3900x @ 4.4GHz with a Custom Loop | MBO: ASUS Crosshair VI Extreme | RAM: 4x4GB Apacer 2666MHz overclocked to 3933MHz with OCZ Reaper HPC Heatsinks | GPU: PowerColor Red Devil 6900XT | SSDs: Intel 660P 512GB SSD and Intel 660P 1TB SSD | HDD: 2x WD Black 6TB and Seagate Backup Plus 8TB External Drive | PSU: Corsair RM1000i | Case: Cooler Master C700P Black Edition | Build Log: here
