Cheap Gpu while waiting

ok so my specs so far is 10850k, asus tuf z490 plus wifi, 2x16gb 3200 mhz cl16 corsair vengeance lpx ram, 2x1tb samsung evo plus nvme (thats right 2 of them.) corsair hx850i, noctua nh-d15 chromax black, phanteks p600s, 6x noctua nh-a14 fans all black, 

all i am missing is a asus tuf rtx3080 OC which will be awhile before i am able to buy but i currently have no gpu besides the igpu which sucks donkey knockers, i was thinking about buying a gtx1660 for the time being seeing how cheap it is and then give it to a friend which is running a intel 6500 and gtx680 so a gtx1660 would be a good boost for him. i will be buying a new monitor before i get the rtx3080 current monitor is a samsung lc32f391fwnxza which is a 1080p 32" 60 hz 4ms monitor i will be upgrading to a samsung odyssey g7 32" which is a 32" 1440p 240hz 1ms monitor. do you think buying a 1660 will be much better performance over a igpu for games like wow, cod mw, cs:go could be on low specs even at 1080p res even when i get new monitor.

it will be a bit for any speciffic model to be findable reliably, I would just get the first 3080 you can. (most cards preform in 2-5% of eachother)

im well aware that it will be hard to find but i want that card non negotiable and i am willing to wait. as i said above im willing to buy a cheap 1660 in the meantime and then give it to a friend but will that be a decent boost in performance over the igpu
