Random BSOD

princedylan101

So I don't know what causes it, but every now and again my computer decides to crash. It seems to only occur when I am playing a game like BF4, and today while playing Titan Fall it happened again. Is there anyway to troubleshoot what is going on? If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Unstable overclock?

I only have the 4770k at 4.2ghz, could that really be too much? :/

Install WhoCrashed (direct .exe DL), try to recreate the BSOD if you can, and wait for it to completely dump. Boot back into Windows, launch WhoCrashed, and click analyze. It should tell you what is causing the problem.

Spoiler

It doesn't necessarily mean that but 9/10 times when you get BSOD while playing it's because of an unstable overclock. Go to stock settings in the bios and the problems should be good. the turbo speed should be good enough. (3.8?)

If the voltage is too high or too low, yes.

Well I went a checked the minidump file from the crash, looks like my Logitech webcam software was the culprit. So I uninstalled the software and made it through a few rounds of titan fall. If it happens again I'll drop my overclock and see what happens.

yes it could my friends 4770k won't go higher than 4.1. But I've also heard than battlefield especially hates overclocks, you might just have to run it without
