Microphone self boosting

Hello all 

I was hoping someone here could help me

I have the Steelseries Arctis Pro + GameDAC, and when my microphone picks up low sounds,

it boosts itself like a lot, like it goes from 45% (which I set it to) to 100%, so it gets all noicy.

I can't find any settings in the Steelseries app or in Windows that mentions self boosting or automatic boosting, or whatever it would be called. 

My Steelseries app is updated and my headset have the latest firmware.

Is it a Windows thing or is it just how the microphone works with the Arctis Pro? Maybe someone knows a 3rd party program for microphone control?

does it happen when you are launching a steam game, Such as CSGO? They have settings upon Bootup to Turn mic volume back up to 100%, you have to go to the files and manually change it.

No, it's like this all the time. Even just on my desktop, in Windows. I can into the microphone boost window, in the sounds control panel in Windows(please see attached screenshot), make a low sound and then see the slider go up.
