Weird audio problem...

So lately when I click on links, open a game or anything else that has a sudden refreshing of the screen my audio cuts out for a split second. Normally this doesn't happen but lately its been happening and its kind of annoying. If i use the HDMI on my monitor and use it for audio as well I normally get this because the video and audio stream are being interrupted and that's fine i know why it does that but i'm not using the HDMI for audio I'm using my onboard audio. Basically opening things or changing the amount of load on my PC sometimes causes my audio to skip and I have no clue why nothing on my PC has changed and its been running fine for months without this issue.
