Problems with new build

Hi, so I'm new to building computers and quite recently built my own but I've been having problems. Everything turns on and fans work but when I plug it in nothing comes on on screen please can someone help. 

 

I have a b350 gaming carbon Pro motherboard

A ryzen 3 2200g cpu 

970gtx msi 

800w powersupply 

16gb of ram

And a aio cooler

Are you plugging the video cable into the port on the mobo or on the video card?

Do you get any post codes on the mobo? (EZ Debug LED)

I am putting it into the card and one red light but it doesn't stay on

Which light, does it go off as the system turns off or ?

Please be as specific as possible. video is great if that is an option. If not, thats ok also. Just be detailed about what you see.

Basically it's a red light on the right side of my mobo which flashes then goes off when I power it off

Would like to see couple pictures of your internal and the port you plugged in.

 

Base on comment mistake, here are couple things need to make sure are correct.

• GPU has power cable plugged in.
• Monitor is plugged in to the GPU port, not the one on the motherboard.

You can also try to troubleshoot yourself: Remove the GPU, plugin the monitor cable to the motherboard directly. If you able to see a picture, that means your computer is setup correctly without GPU. If you install GPU, plugin the GPU power and connect the monitor to the GPU still does not work, it could be a faulty GPU. In that case, you may want to test GPU in another computer. I am sure local computer shop can help you with that without charge.

This is not specific.

I provided you with a diagram of your own mobo and you still couldn't be more specific than this.

This is a CPU diag code, its pointing to the CPU.

Reseat your CPU.
Check for bent pins on the mobo while you have the CPU out, also check for dust or anything else that might be causing issue with contacts.

Make sure you do not tighten the 4 screws too much.

You should tighten them by finger, and thats it.

The only time you would use a screwdriver is if you cant get your hand in there, and then be careful not to over tighten them.

Not sure if important, I had this once... After changing RAM... CPU debug light... No post, no boot... Just a light telling me it's something with my 

CPU. 

 

 

However since I just changed my RAM, I didn't believe it for a second, reset CMOS... Fixed... lol. 

 

Tho I do agree on all your suggestions, just something to keep in mind maybe.

Just to be clear, you're plugging your hdmi cable into the GPU *before* turning on the PC, or? 

 

Because that isn't clear at all... 

 

 

Otherwise I suggest to do exactly what @cr8torsuggested, might be something with theCPU after all.

So I tried everything you suggested and still nothing I've seen a lot of things about bios and updating them is this something that might need doing?

Not if you cant get anything on the screen. Its not possible.
