1st build ever

Go to solution Solved by Wtalk2,

Yeah I'd rather have a warranty, but do you think a GTX 760 will be good?

The GTX 760 is a great mid-priced card. I have the Asus DCII GTX 760 (Like the one Linus is selling) and I love it. It runs cool (Always under 70 Celsius at max load + OC) and it stays nice and quiet and I am able to play every game I have tried on the Max settings. A GTX 760 would be a great choice for you.

So this is my first time building my own PC, and I'm very excited. I have a budget of around $800 and this is that I've been looking at. Any tips are welcome, like I said this is my first build so I'm open to pretty much anything.

NZXT Phantom 410 Mid - White

Intel i5 4670k

MSI Z87-G45 Motherboard

Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD (OS and BF4)

I'm going to use my 1TB HDD from my current desktop

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3-1600 Memory Kit

Corsair CX600M 600 watt Modular PSU

That is what I have been looking at so far, I'm still looking for a video card, input on that would be much appreciated. I plan on using this rig for workspace/gaming.

Thank You.

Looks great to me.

As for a GPU I suggest you just get the best one you can afford.

No, im using microcenter because I have a store near me, so I can just go pick the stuff up there.

You can pick up your components wherever its convenient for you, but pc-partspicker just has a really easy and great way to lay out your build. It makes it really easy for others on the forum to see everything really quickly and easily offer ideas for potential changes.

I threw your suggested components into a pc-partpicker for you.

Maybe a GTX 760, I have a friend with one and he says its great and he can nearly play all games maxed.

if you are willing to wait for shipping, you can get a cheap 760 and it is linus certified.
