So for the past week I've been bombarded every day by these popups, every time I block the IP in my firewall it only takes a couple of minutes for a new IP to start attacking me again.

How can I stop this? I've already disabled remote desktop, does anyone know of a way to completely remove it from my system?

Attacks might be targeting a specific port. In that case all you need to do is block that port.

The attacks might be caused by malicious software in your computer that tipped off an outside threat. I'd run a virus scan with other antivirus software (assuming you've already scanned with AVG) for thoroughness's sake. MalwareBytes works fine.

Considering AVG is apparently "safely blocking" the attacks, if you trust it then you can just tell it not to notify you about it anymore

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

I have run both AVG, and MalwareByte with their full scans, and they found nothing, I could just tick the box to not receive the notification of being protected, but I'd rather stop the attacks than having to protect myself constantly, just like if someone kept trying to get inside my house every day I'd rather know, and do something about it, than have the security guard keep that information hidden.

Trying to identify and block the port is probably your option then
