so currently im building a sleeper PC out of an old dell 4600 tower. i picked it because the layout for a motherboard is standard and front panel connectors are mostly standard and can easily be modded to be 100% compatible.

i wanted this sleeper to have all the original components to be functional (floppy + CD ROM). obviously a modern motherboard doesn't have an IDE or floppy connector so that i could hook these up.

i was curious if there was a such thing as a floppy (male) to sata (female) adapter and a IDE (male) to sata (female) adapter where i could plug normal sata cables into my motherboard instead?

if you know of something like this please send me a link to where i could get them or if you have another idea how i could get these components working on a modern system please let me know

Unless you're talking about the floppy data controller.

In that case, look up "floppy to USB" on eBay.

Then get a USB header to USB port, install it, and connect them together.

Boom.

Don't forget to configure the floppy drive to be drive A:!
