minecraft server amd fx 4130

thinking about setting up a localised minecraft server ( Linux based ) but im having trouble trying to convert the spec requirements to my system components:

Hardware available:

AMD FX 4130 4 core 4 thread

16gig ram

asrock 980DE3/U3S3

Nvidea GT740 2gig

Kingston 128gig SSD (2.5 inch)

500gig SeaGate/ Lenovo (5400 rpm laptop drive) (2.5 inch)

1TB (unknown 3.5 inch) 

 

looking to support 3 - 6 people with mods 20 - 40

ranging from minecraft version 1.12.2 - latest

 

is the FX better than the Athlon or AMD K8 series

 

or could i expect it to be crashing a lot?

FX is better than Athlon. Athlon is better than K8, as K8 is from the XP days.

FX > Athlon > K8.

Though Ryzen > FX.
