Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): So I'm helping a friend to upgrade and I'm not sure what to upgrade and what to get, current build is a amd phenom Ii (not sure) paired with a crosshair iii formula with 12GB ram DDR3, some 80+ bronze xigmatek PSU, GTX 970 turbo 4gb 250 newly bought SSD, and some sort of lancool case

Just a more up to date PC like a good mobo and CPU for price same with ram and PSU
