Did I wipe that off good enough?

Try and make it completely clean on the face

This cooler came with my amd ryzen 7 3800x 8 core 105 w tdp processor, I bent the fins trying to adjust brackets on dark rock pro 4, but I don't plan on doing over clocking just playing iracing at 30fps. Will that cooler be enough to keep cpu comfortably cool? I also have Arctic mx 4 thermal compound can I use that on stock cooler? How do I clean it and cpu without bending pins? Thank you all for help

Yes that cooler will be more than enough.

The cooler will have stuff pre applied so you really won't need to worry about using MX4.

To clean off your cpu, take a clean paper  towel or preferably something less fibrous, dampen it with rubbing alcohol and just wipe it off

Thank you for quick response, also will this be enough pre installed thermal pad or should I go ahead and clean that off too use the arctic?

Thank you so much for the help, was able to get it cleaned and installed, one more question I noticed when installing there was a switch on the side of cooler not mentioned in the manual it had an option of L and H and it was set to L. Any idea?

Try it. It won't break anything. If you are really paranoid, turn the system off first. But I can guarantee it's either fan speed or something to do with RGB.

Yup seems to be fan speed this is after switched to H, I'll do some temp logging while playing iracing in a little while
