VR, Photoshop and video editing like more cores vs better single-threaded performance.

While the R9 3900X isn't the best gaming processor, it is better at multi-core applications.

Go with the R9 3900X.

Preferably right now, as on Amazon it's $70 off.

(I personally don't use Amazon, but if you want to, you can)

Hi guys I have a ryzen 1700x and a Asus CROSSHAIR VI HERO ATX AM4 Motherboard.

 

I'm going with a b550 motherboard, but the thing that makes me unclear is what cpu to go, the 2 options are

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X

Ryzen 7 5800X

 

 

What I do is vr, gaming, photoshop, a bit of video editing and 80% of the time is browsing the Internet
