Which one is better??

So,I have a small problem now im stuck in an infinite loop of should I choose a desktop or a laptop, but it's really difficult to choose, because I'm 14 almost in high school and I'm not home 80% of the time so a laptop would be way more suited,but a desktop is way better in terms of performance,thermals and that's it,but it's not portable but it's more long term, so can anyone help me choose which one Is better for my case I just can't pick one

With Ryzen and chips like Nvidias 2060 you can have very good performance in laptops nowadays. I don't like laptops but it looks like your best option.

Gaming desktop and cheap laptop, either a Chromebook or used Thinkpad. Don't get a gaming laptop, they're all fucking terrible.

I was thinking of an msi gl63 8se that features an i7 8750h and an rtx 2060 I'm not worried about triple A titles cuz I only play Minecraft and fortnite
