My game crashes when i overclock my GPU but when its not it launches fine my GPU is a msi 1660 super. The game is far cry 5 using uplay but with assassins' creed odyssey the game launches even if the gpu is overclocked

that means that the overclock is not stable, lower it a little until everything works fine.

How are you overclocking?

Some updates/drivers will change things.  I now crash in Ark when I use Afterburner to OC my 1080Ti, at the exact same level it was running previously.

Not sure if it's a new version of Afterburner, a game update, a driver update, Windows update, or my card is just wearing out and unable to OC like it was (which I doubt).  Who knows.

Well, you have a habit of overclocking your components to the point of instability...

Decrease the clock speed of your GPU,then test the GPU with GPUPI 3.3.3,Press Calculate then use the following settings:

32B HWbot GPU

choose your GPU in OpenCL GPU devices

Batch size: 20M

Reduction size: 512

Then press OK to start.

(Press cancel if a message about HPET appears)

GPUPI 3.3.3 download page:

https://www.overclockers.at/news/gpupi-international-support-thread

Tell us if you get any errors while testing.

Next time you want to overclock something, ask us for help...

You can damage your system if you continue like that.

In your case that's a bad idea since things don't work properly afterwards.
