Hello all,

I just received a brand new rog rx570 8gb. I bought this because the gpu I had previously, an hd 7870xt, stopped working (or so i thought). What happened was i was playing r6 siege and by video output and audio (which was connected via hdmi to my gpu) died. I was able to get into safe mode with my display plugged in via my gpu. WHile in safe mode, the display was full of green lines ect. So i ordered the rog rx 570 8gb. This arrived today. With decent pc building expirenece, I installed the gpu into the only pcie slot on my motherboard. I then pressed the on button and got nothing. After reinstalling it a good 10 times, fiddiling about with the bios, and checking cables ect. I noticed that my suitable psu was enough to give me a white light next to the 8 pin psu connector. The fans and rgb light light up although the rgb gives me breathing red. I then proceeded to unplug the power from the gpu to use the intergraded graphics. (I am using a h61 intel mobo and i7 3770 w/ 8gb ram). I then go into the bios and find that my pci slot in unoccupied. This is odd as the card is in the slot although it isnt getting any psu power. I then set it so that my intergrated gpu was disabled and made it so that if no video input was detected i would hear three beeps. So i tested this and tried having no power going into the gpu and sure enough i got my three beeps. i then powered up the gpu and didnt get three beeps.

I then tried two other gpus, including the one i originally thought broken. Nothing worked.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks,
