Wierd call problem need help

I have tride Steam, Razer Coms, Skype, Mumble, Team speak and EVERY time i try to ether take a call or make one the program errors in some way and i have to restart my comp and it was working FINE last night and nothing has been changed on my comp for a week except save files

 

Running windows 8

No its fine only 3 months old and no other problems are happening

Allot more would happen if it was the hdd failing.

Not necessarily. I had my HDD fail, and the only thing effected was a game or two.

 

Even though you said you've only had it for 3 months, I might still check (to be sure).

After that, I'm out of ideas for the moment.

could just be a windows 8 problem my buddy is running windows 8 and everytime he wanted to play APB reloaded he would get kicked from the game after 25mins of play and the cause was a win8 file was messing with the game file kicking him he got an update fixing it. so it could be just a windows 8 problem. (im somewhat new to computers and everything dont make fun of me if my stuff doesnt make sense)
