I have used all of them in a supermicro x8dtu-f, I'm upgrading to a better board, this is also why I assumed I didn't need the eps connectors.

The 8 pin yes. The 6 pin is auxiliary for overclocking purposes.

I still think you should use a proper 8 pin instead of the 4 to 8 pin adapter.

Not that I think there's anything wrong with it, I have them and used them as well, but to just remove the possibility of the PSU, won't hurt to try a different one. Preferably a higher wattage with the correct 8 pin.

WIthout the EPS connectors, the Cpu won't post, the board won't turn on.

Okay I have adapted one 4 pin eps to one 8 pin eps with only one cpu the other disabled, but only three lights come on one blue the two amber if I remember correctly.

They actually made a power supply that goes with this board that will have all the connectors you need to properly run the board. You may have to populate both to run it.

I looked it up and don't have to unless I run both cpus. I'm asking about the lights meaning.

The cpu is in the right side (primary) socket correct?

What cpu and what memory? (part numbers please)

1. Correct

2. I have two x5667s and one disabled with the jumper, and a 2gb stick of ram for testing (I have more waiting).

I asked for the memory part number because some DDR3 memory modules won't work in this board. There are a few kits designed specifically for AMD and will not work with Intel rigs.

Take note of the memory you have and be sure it's not for AMD rigs.
