pls tell me what is limiting my 3200mhz ram at 2400mhz like i cant even make 2666 mhz and when i do so my instantly shuts down, so check my parts and tell me if theres anything limiting my ram speed to 2400mhz

asus prime b450mk

ryzen 5 3400g

radeon rx vega 11

hyperX fury rgb 16gb kit 8gb*2 @3200mhz ( but as i said it runs at 2400mhz)

seagate barracuda 1tb hdd (idk 5400rpm or 7200rpm)

zalman wattbit 500w psu 83+

In the BIOS, turn on DOCP.

Been there he's done that, he should have mentioned it because now he'll get all the same responses as last time..

If this is a NEW PC, return it,... for the Motherboard not supporting your memory. (Or see if swapped memory works (another 3200 kit)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

It's hard to say, thats why you should return it (if available to you) and let THEM do the testing before you screw around with it.
It's clear it wont boot at rated speeds, they'll notice this straight away (also you should be telling them all this so they go straight to it)

Nope. you're at the road block there. A reflash won't do anything really.

Are you setting up the timings or letting the board pick them?

Screen shots?

they r kinda dumb, one of them says its cuz of the hard drive and one says its cuz of the motherboard doesnt support the speed and CANNOT reach 3200mhz and one says cuz of integrated graphics an one literally says cuz its distributed on the pc and 2400mhz is what remains XD

i only changed the speed, didnt work, then i set dram voltage to 1.35 and changed speed, didnt work then i used docp, didnt work, then i changed timings, dram voltage and speed, didnt work, even at 2666mhz and the motherboard clearly supports 2666mhz

It's the memory sticks. My 220GE is running 1467mhz async on Vega 3 right now. But much higher quality modules though....

I'm using 4267mhz rated B-Die memory sticks. The Vega graphics handle higher speeds fine, but my limited 1st gen memory controller is a major hold back. Using Corsair 3000mhz stick, I can only run up to 2667mhz. The upgraded memory kit is working much better. I usually use this kit in my 8700K, but wanted to experiment a bit. And so I did. The results are much better.

It's more the memory controller and motherboard. In an Intel system, the XMP profile for that memory would probably work just fine. It just seems the higher quality memory works better with Ryzen processors of any generation.

Nope, never said that.

The memory controller and motherboard just doesn't like that ram kit for some reason.

It could be sub timings are off a few clicks, who knows. definitely not working well for you.....

ok so no parts are faulty cuz i literally just played fortnite and valorant and performance was fine but at 3200mhz it would have been better, well the temps were good so surely theres no faulty right?or could there be?

Right, the parts are not necessarily faulty. They just don't like each other enough to meet the expectations of the rated memory frequency. That's all.

Run it at the highest stable speed, and you'll be ok. As long as you go faster than 2133mhz, you've gained performance. Just not as much.
