So I recently ran into a problem when i installed RGB fusion on my pc. Im running on a Gigabyte B450I Aorus and after rebooting the system, my pc suddenly doesnt post. My first attempt on troubleshooting was to reset the CMOS. I tried shorting the reset pins and even removing the CMOS battery but to no avail. I also tried reseating the memory, using only one stick and changing the positions of the sticks. I tried removing the GPU and used the onboard graphics available to see if my system will post which sadly still didn't. Recently I plugged in a speaker so that I can monitor the beep codes as the system turns on. Without removing anything, there weren't any beep codes. I tried removing the GPU and all the RAM and suddenly got 7 long beeps which indicated a memory problem (Which was expected since I had no memory installed). I reseated the memory and turned on the system which again lead to a no beep code. I also tried reseating the CPU which didn't help at all.

Is this just a bricked motherboard? Or maybe a corrupted Bios? I really don't know what to do anymore and would greatly appreciate anyone who can offer a solution or maybe identify the problem.

I don't have anything connected to it actually, My fans don't have RGB. The only RGB on my system is from the GPU and the Ram

Did you make sure you are on the latest version?? Also rgb fusion is a bit laggy

Maybe try this version of clearing cmos

Shut off and unplug psu

Pull battery from mb

Hold the power button on the case for 30 sec

Reinstall battery

Power on

You may want to try in hooking your ssd/hdd and boot without them aswell

I've actually tried this since someone from another thread I posted here told me to try resetting the CMOS this way. I also tried booting without my HDD and still didn't post.

I starting to believe it's an issue with the gpu not displaying as there are no beeps from the board. It's just a matter of testing it.

But shouldn't there be a single short beep indicating that the system passed post on the speaker? and I tried using the onboard graphics with the gpu removed and still no display.

Not if the motherboard recognizes the gpu.

I would try the igpu again. Just make sure the hmdi cable is connect to the motherboard and might as well remove the gpu from the system as an extra measure.

Just tried this, still no post, no beep codes, no display. I'm starting to think the bios just gone bad all of the sudden.

Time to call gigbyte

Ahhhh, I was trying to avoid this but I guess there's no choice. I feel like it's going to take months. But if I were to ask you, what do you think is the main problem? the motherboard maybe? I was thinking of maybe just replacing a part like the motherboard to fix the issue

Im gonna try posting on gigabyte's support page just to see what they think. Appreciate the replies thanks bro.

Have you tried booting to the other BIOS yet? I'm fairly certain most gigabyte boards have dual bios

Edit: It appears that some boards dont have the switch or the dual bios itself

I think this one has a single bios. I also looked up some forums on how to trigger the backup bios, but none worked for me. I can't do a flash since my motherboard doesn't support flashing the bios even without a cpu or ram installed.
