@pcbuildinnoobie

Drives use sata data cables and sata power cables. Also a lot of fan and rgb controllers use sata power cables

your PSU has 8 sata power connectors  and your mainboard has 4 sata data connectors

So my case will use 4 rgb fans and it comes with a controller. I bought ssd and m.2. Do i need 7 sata cables then?

All psus come with cables, the rm750i comes with 2 cables each with 4 connectors, so 8 sata connectors

No

the fans don’t need sata power cables

the m.2 drive is directly plugged into the m.2 slot your mainboard and doesn’t need any cables at all

2.5 and 3.5 inch drives need sata cable

I think the Controller needs one sata power cable or Molex which are both on the psu

Yes ( I’m assuming you have one m.2 ssd and one 2.5 inch ssd )

and no extra cables have to be purchased
