DRGB and ARGB is the same thing. Gigabyte also uses the term "DRGB" (actually D-LED) for ARGB strips/products on their boards.

I know it's not relevant to your question, but the Aorus Pro has bad VRM's for it's price, so if you haven't bought it yet I would suggest choosing a different one.

Ah I see, it's further down on the tier list. I would say the Asrock b450 steel legend is better suited?

When you say bad vrms do you mean for overclocking or in general.

And I don't plan to be using a super power hungry chip, just a 3600

It's overpriced, for much less you can get a motherboard with better VRM's. If the case you're using has a little airflow it'll be perfectly fine for a 3600, but anything above that and chances are VRM's will overheat and cause the CPU to not boost as high, and overclocking with the 3600 is not a great idea. So in the future if you want to upgrade to a 3700, or 5700 you may need a new motherboard otherwise the cpu may not boost as high as it should.

The case Ive chosen has pretty good airflow. Its either going to be the Lian Li Lancool ii mesh or the Phanteks P400A digital.

Also, would the steel legend be better suited?

I don't plan to upgrade CPU until at least 3 years.

You can check the motherboard Tier List and find out for yourself. But, yes the steel legend is a little better. But just as a quick reminder, the way the motherboard looks doesn't determine it's performance. That's why the B450 Pro4 while not looking as good as the Steel Legend, it still has similar vrms and will perform similarly to the steel legend.

Ok thanks, yeh I like the looks of the steel legend. Still it would be nice to have the 2 DRGB headers on the aorus rather than just 1 on the Asrock.

I think I will look at the RGB on both Boards and then decide from there. I don't think I will overclock anyway

If the B550 variants boards are within your budget, I would go for one of these instead.

*Most* board partners beefed up the VRM and VRM cooling on the B550 boards, over the B450 versions.

Also, support for the upcoming Ryzen 5000 series on X470 / B450 is *NOT* 110% guaranteed.

Yeh, i looked at getting a b550 board, but the only one that fit's my budget is the gigabyte b550 ds3h. There's nothing wrong with the board, but it's micro-atx and im looking for atx, i want to get RGB on the board and i would be looking to spend a whole lot more to get that.

I have CPU and PSU right now, so when black friday comes, i will look at the deals on motherboards and decide from there, i'm not looking to spend anymore than £90.

As i said above, I don't plan to and won't have the budget to upgrade until at least 1 - 3 years, so if i do, i will upgrade cpu and mobo together
