So I brought a PSU the other day.

 

Its the Sharkoon SilentStorm Cool Zero 650W.

 

I know that it's modular and it's pretty quiet. I didn't do too much research as it was on the PSU tier list.

 

It has these two other buttons apart from the power switch.

 

One is zero RPM mode and the other let's the fan spin for another minute after the PC turns off.

 

Not sure what these are for and if If I should switch them on or off.

 

Could someone explain please.

"zero rpm mode" presumably lets the fan of the psu come to a complete stop, if the psu itself does not need the airflow.

 

as for the other one, i presume that's to let the psu circulate air while the psu is off, it's similar to a feature on my motherboard, that spins the casefans for a minute after shutdown, to help the system cool down.

 

as for if you should keep them on or off.. try them out i guess, you wont break anything.
