So for a while now my pc has a strange problem and ive allready replaced parts this problem is when i try to run TF2 RAFT OR PAINT THE TOWN RED my pc oddly turns off and i have to unplaug and replug the main power cable ive allready upgraded to a 800 watt psu and a new graphics card.

What are you pc specs, how old is it? More info would be helpful.

Can you run GPU benchmark software without issues?

This would help narrow the possibilities.

 

Also, do you have to physicallky unplug it or can you simply hit the reset button? 

Does the reset button affect the situation at all? SAme with the power button. Can you turn the system off and back on with the power button to fix this or does it require physically disconnecting power and reconnecting?

If physically disconnection is required, this often points to a bad power supply.

However, you could have a power cord with issues (ive seen this once in 20+ years) and its possible there is a general power delivery issue.

Is it possible to remove all other items from the power delivery outlet, and test again?

Possible an air condition, heater, or some other device on the same line causes a "brown out" on the power delivery from the socket.

gpu benchmark are fine my specs are CPU:AMD FX 8350  GPU:RX 550   Ram: 32gb 8X4   Space:2TB   PSU: 800 watts   And with the psu its a unplug and replug from the back of the pc.

Does it only happen in those two games, or can you get it to happen outside of the games?

If its just in the games, try removing mod's and adjusting settings to see if you can affect the situation.

the games dont have any mods and my specs are good to handle at max even tho i put it on low or med

Did you replace the power supply for this same issue?

And have you tried a new cord from the wall to the power supply.

I had one cable one time in my life cause reboots, and it was actually the cable.

And have you plugged it straight into the wall, and or tried another outlet? It could be a power delivery problem?

i tryed diffrent cables and plugged from wall to tower like a 10 slot tower to a wall and still the same problem could a motherboard cause this issue?

What do you mean by this?

Might just be a communication issue, but i dont understand what you mean, can you reword this or elaborate?

its a plug socket extention that makes it go from one plug to 10

Have you eliminated that from the mix? Power supply to wall with no adapters or splitters?

I assume so, but if not, definitely try that.

Yes certainly. But so could the cpu, memory, power supply, just about anything.

What is happening really points to power supply, but if you had the same issue before replacing the power supply, then its not that.

And have you tried another circuit in the house for power? Not to harp on it, but a brownout from another appliance drawing power could cause this.

Maybe the pc is only drawing enough power during the games to actually suffer from the power brownout if thats the case.

 

Has this problem always been exactly the same or has it changed at all from the beginning?

Do you play any other games that tax the system as much as these two? Or more?

How long can you play the games before this happens or does it happen on load?

If all else, if the issue has always stayed the same and you have already replaced power supply, then mobo would be my next suspect for hardware.

ive been room to room testing and still the same there have been 3 that tax it but i recon other games can trigger this and i get to a 5 to 30 mins mark then it happens       here is a list of all replaced parts   cpu     psu     gpu    HDD   ram and thats all

Sorry for the delay, life gets in the way.

 

Anyway, if you have replaced all those parts, then really the mobo is the only thing left. Be sure you don't have something else in the mix though.

Are there any other cards in the system?

Capture cards, sound cards, usb cards?

And do you have anything else other than the keyboard, mouse and monitor plugged in? 

Headsets, LED lights or controllers?

If there is nothing else IN the system or plugged into it, and there are no environment variables (is there a microwave or really old tube TV nearby?), then that really only leaves the motherboard.

ive had an idea my little brother has the excatact same model of motherboard and cpu.... if you get where im going with this

Swap em out one at a time and see when/if the problem follows one part.

Have you used hardware monitor or something to eyeball the temps?

I wonder if this is a thermal issue since its happening after a length more intense usage.

so how am i supposed to see the temp while playing the game?

Play the game windowed if possible.

2nd monitor?

 

If not you might use HWiNFO instead as its easier to log with.

Then if it reboots, you still have the data logged.

Download and install, open it and in the bottom right is a spreadsheet looking icon that will say "start loggin" when you mouseover it.

You might also download the logviewer addin to make viewing the logs easier.

Install, start logging, run till it reboots.

Then reboot and check the logs. See what your temps are doing, share the log if you can. Screenshot is best rather than raw data for now.
