Asus "EVO" ?

I bought an Asus 2060 Strix EVO gaming recently.  I notice in pretty much all reviews it's the same model but without the "EVO" designation. I compared the two cards on Asus' website and the only thing I noticed different was the EVO only has an 8-pin power, and the non-EVO has an 8+6 pin power.

 

What is the difference, lower ability to OC?

Evo here is the optimized model that comes later than the standard 2060 Strix. Can't find actual power limit numbers for the evo here, but the RTX 2060 apparently does not draw over 200W when overclocked anyway

so why supply the card with an extra connector and 238w BIOS when it could be lower without affecting performance.

 

Of course if they are the same price you should get the non Evo (getting more for nothing is always nice), but there's no problem with the Evo either.
