Friend of mine got one of those, mainly for the total customisation you can do with colours and caps, which he used to great effect to make it incredibly purple with custom lettering. The board itself seems well built but nothing I'd call fancy. If you plan on using the customisation options I'd say it's a good choice, if you're getting a totally standard board they still do well of course, but you could look into a K70 for instance.

Hi

I am thinking about buying a WASD keyboard.

What are your thoughts about them?

If you want a unicorn vomit board (random colored keycaps everywhere), it's about the only possible option. Otherwise you can get better quality at a better price. $150 for a garbage board with garbage caps is insane.

What would be your criteria? Pretty much going to tell you Corsair keyboards and the G710+ should immediately be off your mind considering they have poor QC.

Yes Logitech and Corsair have truly terrible QC...hang on, no the opposite.

The hell you talking about? The K70 and G710+ are both EXCELLENT keyboards.

There's more, but I'm not going to search for you. Whether you choose to be ignorant is not up to me.

The usual anecdotal evidence that can be used against LITERALLY every manufacturer on the planet, well done.

If you choose to be dismissive of the thousands of functioning keyboards and instead latch on to the handful of defects as some sort of proof that the entire production line is compromised that's up to you, but don't call me ignorant for needing more (i.e. statistical) evidence than that before discarding an entire product line from consideration when the vast majority of feedback is positive.

I agree with you. Anything that is mass produced is bound to have a few that aren't that great. But to be honest Logitech has good Customer Support and they are good with getting you a replacement, and Corsair is solid as well having no issue with either, hell even Razer is pretty good as well on the customer Support end.

My feelings on WASD keyboards is that I feel they are a little expensive for what they are. They do offer customization but they are only ABS caps and give no option for something like PBT which to me is superior.

I actually have typed on one, they are not terrible, but DEFINITELY not worth $150.  I ***WOULD*** go for something from ducky or corsair if I was you.  But if you really want colours, or just plain keycaps, then they really have no competition.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

Well Ducky does more then just LED backlit keyboards. They have affordable PBT keycap keyboards. I got mine for 129 dollars nothing more nothing less that's what they charged me.

Actually hasn't ever happened to any other company surprisingly. Logitech and Corsair who once shared OEMs were the only companies to have keycaps break(So did the Quickfire TK, but no one has really got a garbage board from them). Just by comparing the key cap product to others you can tell that you're already getting something that is far cheaper and made to cut corners. No reported cases of other another manufacturer making faulty key caps, seems to be special to iOne. Isn't it odd that iOne keeps making these garbage boards? Obviously some haven't seen much complaint like QPAD's boards or Max Keyboard, but G710+, BW2013, Corsair boards have all seen a high degree of error.

The whole entire keyboard is garbage, I'm not trashing Logitech due to one guy's key caps breaking, it's a general consensus from anyone who doesn't have a shit board. It's not the first product they can't figure out how to get right.

I had a key break on me on my g710+ my right alt key the cap stem cracked and broke off for me. However, they were quick to get me a new keyboard and I haven't had issues since. If it wasn't for the macro keys/media keys on the left side and top right for media keys I'd probably get something like the other Ducky Keyboard I have.

The keyboard it self is top notch, especially the new v2 which was designed basically ground up and has some unique features no one else has.

you can do what ever layout or lettering you want on the caps and their new UV printing can even do colors on the caps, my jaw dropped when I saw it.
