Baymax v3.0

HesCalledTheStig

Starting a rebuild of my main gaming rig “Baymax”.  Version 1.0 was built in a Thermaltake H200 Snow Edition and specs were as followed:

CPU: Ryzen 3 3200g

Ram: 16gb Corsair Vengance LPX 3000mhz

PSU: Corsair VX450

GPU: EVGA GTX 750ti SC

For version 2.0, I kind of swiped the Thermaltake core V1 case that I bought for my daughters build because I really liked the look of it. I also upgraded the mother board to a Gigabyte B450 I Aorus Pro WiFi motherboard with a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, Corsair CX550 PSU and a PowerColor RX570 8gb GPU.

After using the Core V1 case for 2 months, I realized how poor the air flow was. For version 3.0 I am moving everything over to an NZXT H210 case and adding a Corsair MP300 NVME SSD for my boot drive, 16gb TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan Z 3200mhz RAM, and a Cooler Master ML240L rgb v2 240mm AIO.  Here’s a couple progress pics. DDF57784-40DF-4B05-A1C2-D64255A8A9C5.thumb.jpeg.ce524b473855ba180bb90e45eaab27bd.jpeg6E0AA5D4-8E66-4EB4-A57D-AE47B8815EC7.thumb.jpeg.b20c8c8ae4f99fe9a830c624d794846c.jpegMore photos to come as my new parts arrive from good ol’ Amazon.

Nice! Going to do any case modding to make it look more like Baymax? 😀

I thought about doing the Baymax face on the front. Something like this:

But grey rather than red.

Gave up for the night when I went to install my GPU and realized I forgot to add the 8pin power lead for it. So, after all that cable management, I gotta start again tomorrow.

Baymax v3.0 is done except for the RGB. Waiting for a $5 cable that was delayed from Amazon that will connect all 4 RGB fans to the mother board so they can be controlled with Gigabytes Fusion software. I refuse to turn it on until I have all the parts working properly. Lol. So now I wait until Thursday.

Already compiling a parts upgrade list for v3.1 🤓😁

Edit: One thing I am NOT liking about this case is how easy the black coating on the inner prices like the basement cover get marked up. You can see in the lower right corner what I’m talking about. Most of that was from cables brushing against it. Not cool.

Did it take off paint? Wondering if you can buff it out.

I believe it’s more of a powder coat or similar. I tried buffing it out but it’s there for good. I’ve had $40 cases that have been through hell and still have no scratching or other signs of wear.
