Hey looking for some advice on this one.

A couple times a week when I boot up my pc I get lines in my display. These usually go away as soon as I log into windows.

I am hesitant to believe that it's my graphics card since it is a lot newer than the rest of my system. I'm running an i7 4770 and asus z77 saberthooth motherboard.

My monitor is a MSI Optix AG32C, I was running at 165hz and dropped it to 144hz in case that was causing an issue. Using display port on the graphics card, I don't have an extra cable to try but am going to try using hdmi next if it persists.

I unfortunately bought my 2060 before the supers came out but was running a 660ti before so it was still a needed upgrade. I have not encountered any issues until about a month ago.

Hoping to get some insight on this.

I would at first suggest it is the monitor at fault judging by the nature of the lines, however you should test with different cables and outputs, also test whether the lines go away when the monitor warms up. Test with your old card if you still have it or borrow one if possible.

Do the lines appear on the post screen? Is the post screen the same resolution or lower? Do you get these lines when running any graphics benchmarks/ games?

Can you test the monitor on a different PC?

Just my first thoughts on the issue.

I don't have any issues at the post screen. If I get into the monitors ui there are no lines going through it when experiencing the issue.

No problem playing games, I haven't tried benchmarks but did check out my thermals after playing horizon zero dawn for a couple hours.

I will try swapping out the monitor out next if the problem persists.

I still have my old gpu so I can try that if I can rule out the monitor

Thanks for the input

Yeah, I think you are doing the right sort of testing, focus on one item at a time, so monitor, then cables, then GPU and thermals to rule out each item before moving on to the next.
