So, some time ago I deleted an old mac that was lying around, installed linux from scratch, deleted the whole hdd, now I want to install mac OS X, but the built in recovery mode when I enter to reinstall macOS X Lion says "article unavaiable", have tried different things but haven't solved it, help!

If you bought it new it should’ve come with an os disk that’s how my dads was at least. If not I guess your screwed. Nah you can probably find a disk or something on eBay or take it to a Genius Bar if ones nearby I don’t think apple really hands out extra setups at least you can’t download it from their website for some reason .

Thanks, but no, I don't thinks it has any disks
