Wifi issues

I have the ASUS PCE68 wireless adapter. Today it decided it really doesn't like my side panels. I had reinstalled drivers and the programs. I have even moved it to a different PCI slot. I have noticed it works with the my side panel off bit not when I put it on. Suggestions?

That's odd... Wouldn't wireless adapters have an antenna sticking out the PCI slot? I don't understand how your case side panel would interfere.

I'm really baffled. I even took the antenna extension off and mounted the antenna straight to the card.
