Flickering black screen problem

Hello everyone and thanks for taking your time to read this,

 

Recently my PC has had this irritating issue. It seems that when I use google chrome. Every now and then my screen will freeze then go completely black then it seems to refresh its self.

 

Its making it very unenjoyable to even do a simple task like post this. Thanks for any help

Laptop or desktop? What hardware specifically?

 

Have you recently installed any new software or drivers? Done a virus/malware scan?
