Moving Router

Help LTT,

I am thinking of moving my router to a different position in order to get a better wireless signal. I also want to keep my PC hard wired to the router. however I believe the router must still be connected to the modem. Do I have to run two Ethernet cables, one for the router to the modem, and one for the PC to the router? If so, is there an other, easier way to go about doing this?

Thanks, guas5373

To keep a wired lan connection for your PC you would have to connect your PC to the router and then the router to the modem.

Modem > Router > PC

So yes you are right and would need to have two ethernet cables.

while (true) {

    live();

}
