Need to reset cmos battery everytime I plug my pc...

Everytime I unplug my Psu or turn it off at the  wall then I need to reset cmos and if it unplug a fan or put a new one in then... You guess it! Our old friend Mr cmos pops in for a visit after work!

What happens if you DON'T reset the CMOS?

 

Are you saying the BIOS loads default settings?

 

If your BIOS is reverting to factory defaults every time you unplug the PSU, then your CMOS battery is out of juice.

In that case, replace the button cell CMOS battery found on the motherboard.

No, it doesn't post... It I get fan spin and light up on leds but no posting!
