USB Webcam issues

Hi, I recently encountered a problem with a generic USB 2.0 webcam that I bought on Amazon a few months ago. Whenever I turn it on it captures my video for a half second, freezes, than goes black and keeps on doing this over and over again. At first I thought it was a problem with my webcam but when I plugged it into my laptop it worked fine capturing video correctly without any freezing. I tried connecting it to my primary computer through a VM to see if it was a problem with my usb controller but it was working properly in there to. Could this be a problem with my windows install or the drivers its using for the webcam?

System specs:

R7 2700x

Rog Strix b450-f

Driver issue seems likely.
Did you try to uninstall the device through device manager? It should then re-install a current driver automatically.

I tried uninstalling the device a few times and it still doesn't seem to be working. Is there anything else that could be causing the issue?

Tried using a different USB port? Worth a shot.
