Budget (including currency): 35000 php (philippine peso)

Country: the philippines

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: something that can handle ms teams + 15-20 chrome tabs + powerpoint + spotify simultaneously without crashing. maybe also light gaming, (right now, i only really wanna play left4dead but i also wanna try other games in the future). i am also planning on starting a youtube channel next yr, so maybe light to moderate video editing will also be a consideration.

Other details i plan on buying everything by the end of the year because of budget constraints. also because of budget constraints, i'll settle for a gtx1030 for now and will upgrade to a 2060 super some time next yr. i dont really care much for peripherals since im not a gamer (yet), but i do want a 24 - 27 inch monitor. 60hz is enough for me too. i listed the parts im planning to buy below. i believe ive watched enough ltt pc builds to know the basics, but would love to hear from experienced pc builders if the parts i selected are compatible and will be useful for the workload i specified above.

cpu: ryzen 5 2600

motherboard: gigabyte b450 aorus elite (also, vrm is a consideration of the longevity of a system right? i want this pc to last for at least 5 yrs, and i tried reading the motherboard vrm tier list but i dont understand what im looking at. so does this motherboard have good vrm? will it last for 5 yrs)

psu: evga gold 600w

ram: ripjaws v 16gb 3200 2x8gb

boot drive: kingstone a2000 500gb m.2

hdd: seagate 2tb 3.5"

case: any mid tower with bottom psu enclosure

gpu: gtx 1030

thanks berry match for your time ❤️

not good vrm.

go for a asrock pro4 instead, it should be cheaper and slightly better.

otherwise, it sounds like a good plan.

for light gaming, I wouldn't go down the 1030 + 2060 super plan you have. i would just buy a used rx570 now, which will be more than enough for a 60/75hz monitor.

Instead why not 3400G? Graphics performance is very similar.

do you mean the graphics performance of 3400g is similar to 2600 + gtx1030? or just the 2600?

i considered the 3400g coz of the integrated graphics. as a said, my budget is tight, and i wouldnt need a gpu for 3400g, but i really want the 6 cores of the 2600.

The performance of 3400G is very similar to 2600 plus 1030. The integrated graphics are very good for them being integrated. Vega 11.

The GT 1030 is far too expensive for its own good. If you can't get a used GTX 750 TI (which actually performs better in games, and you don't have to worry about accidentally getting a DDR4 version) then I suggest a ryzen cpu with integrated graphics.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

You're spending too much on other parts, your system's going ot be severely held back by that super weak GPU.

Instead, get an i3 9100F with a cheap H310 motherboard, and get a cheap 250/500gb sata SSD instead.

Then you can at least afford a decent GPU like an RX 570 or a GTX 1650

how is the upgradability of these parts? because my original dream plan is to get a 2060 super maybe mid next yr. i want parts that can handle a better gpu when i upgrade.

Next year there'll be better GPUs out. There will probably be better GPUs out by the end of this year.

I recommended that because it seems like you're on a very tight budget, and that prices are really high in the philippines. A 9100F is slower than a 2600x and doesn't have the same upgradeability, but an RX 570 is way faster than a GT 1030. The 9100F+570 combo will be like 2 or 3 times faster than the 2600x + gt 1030 combo.
