the small rom chip doesn't actually matter right now because the update availability to next gen Ryzen appears to be the exact same for all B450 boards.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

so would you say is a b450 still worth it then?

Yes. Be advised that AMD specifically said that any B450 motherboard updated to accept next gen Ryzen will not be able to revert, and will only be compatible with third gen CPUs and onward.

is there any valid reason other than pcie 4 and wifi 6 to get b550?

More straightforward CPU support I suppose, and slightly better ram support. Though, with a third gen CPU, any decent B450 board will run 3600MHz memory no problem.
