I built a budget pc in 2019 the specs are:

rx 560 gpu

2x4 ddr4 Corsair vengeance ram 2666hz

Ryzen 3 2200g cpu 

evga bronze 500w power supply

ssd+hardrive

2 fans

Asus b450m-/csm

 

i recently replaced my gpu and cpu to a r5 3600 and a Rx 5600xt, a pretty decent combo. But In games I definitely get more FPS but I still get stuttering (especially in fortnite, I’m not a fortnite kid btw I just use it for testing). So why do you think this is happening?

@BroskiezIts probably a ram issue.

What is your ram usage when it stutters?

It is around 6500mb on afterburner and 6.5/8.0 GB (78%) on task manager.

@Broskiezthe ram usage will increase and decrease depending on what is needed.

 

If i were a gamer i'd have a min of 16GB ram.

 

The only reason i have 32GB of ram is cos of a mistake with the company i bought my parts from sending me out 2 x 2 8GB sticks, i reported it and they said because they had no record of sending me out the extra ram they couldn't act upon it.

ok, so if i want to upgrade would i just get either a 1x8 or 2x4 ram, to add on? Does the brand matter?

@Broskiezit depends on how many ram slots you have left.

 

Brand does matter yes, i wouldn't go with an unbranded ram, when i built my machine back 2 years ago i chose G.Skill for my guild.
