Chromebook ram question

I pulled up chrome://system on my HP Chromebook 14 SMB, and it says that I have 2048MB of ddr3. I saw that it mentioned it being sodimm. I also have a newer school Chromebook that does not mention it being sodimm, and replacement mother. I cant find a tear down of the SMB model of the HP Chromebook 14, just the normal ones. Does the info page calling it sodimm actually mean that it is a sodimm slot?

I could use some help with this!
