First off, massive thank you to all those who answered my previous question on fan sizes. However, I have a further question (I'm fairly new to the world of RGB).

 

So I have a ASRock B450 Steel Legend, and it comes with this software that I use to change the RGB on the board it'self (My wraith cooler uses different software) I have a screen shot below.

 

Would buying something like the below fit directly onto the addressable pins without the requirement for an RGB controller? Am I being naive by thinking it'l plug in and go?

To my knowledge Corsair's iCUE fans like you have pictured there require you to use the hub that comes with them.

corsiar has its own rgb eco system.

Corsair and few others use proprietary connectors. So answer is, it depends. You need to do some research to check if your selected fans would work without extra controllers.
