Both SSD and HDD showing up as Windows Boot Manager in the BIOS? Please help

Hello everyone, so i recently got an SSD and did a fresh install of my os on it. After launching my PC successfully after installing windows on my new ssd, i shut down my computer and reattached my old hard drive back to my motherboard for storage as i just got a 240 GB Kingston ssd to mainly just install my OS on. When i go to my BIOS (i have a MSI board) boot options to make sure my PC launches as my new SSD with my new install of windows on it instead of my old hard drive, both options just say Windows Boot Manager so i cant tell which is which... I don't want to accidently launch my computer with the old hardrive and its old os and possibly risk ruining my computer if thats even possible. Any help would be appreciated, sorry if i sound like a total noob. I can also attach pictures if anyone needs them.

Did you ever wipe the old HDD? If not, then you simply have two copies of windows installed (this is called dual-boot, and you can pick which one you want to boot from)

This won't ruin your system, but if you don't need the old windows install, you can just boot from the SSD (trial and error if you don't know which is which) and wipe the HDD

Thank you for the reply, i didn't wipe the old HDD. I tried to pick which one to boot from in my BIOS boot settings but both show up as 'Windows Boot Manager' when i click on the drop down menu to choose primary boot, so I'm not sure which is which  and im afraid of accidently launching my old HDD instead of my new SSD and messing things up since they both have the OS installed.

Nothing will be messed up if you launch from the HDD -- You'll just boot into your old desktop and stuff.

Thank you  ! So since they are both set as Windows Boot Manager in the drop down menu should i just try until i set it to the correct one that has my SSD boot?

I think it worked!!! Thank you. I attached my Hard Drive back to my motherboard and launched my pc. It took a little bit longer than earlier today when i booted my pc it only took like 5 seconds, this time it took a little over a minute but i still booted to my fresh install of windows on my ssd it seems and when  i go to file explorer i see my SSD as my C drive and my old hard drive on the right next to it as my d drive. Was the longer boot this time normal since i was adding another hard drive and it had to recognize it or something?

Yeah could be normal. It should be just as fast as before going forward. If it isn't then there could be something wrong.
