I went ahead and turned your Amazon wishlist into a list on PCPartPicker (a site where you can plan PC builds) just to simplify the planning process, and to guarantee compatibility. If you want to use an Amazon wishlist to crowdfund these parts, that's fine, but you can often save a lot of money by buying from multiple different retailers.

I do have a few questions about this list, though:

  1. What case do you currently have? This is important for choosing motherboard form factor, cooling, etc.
  2. What motherboard features do you need? AMD's B550 and X570 boards with WiFi are often super overpriced, and you might be better off if you use a WiFi add-in card, or if you just plug in through Ethernet.
  3. Do you think 2TB will be enough storage? The WD blue drive you've selected isn't bad, but it's far from the fastest boot drive on the market. I might want to go with a 1TB boot drive from Samsung or Adata, and then you can also grab an HDD or a SATA SSD for larger games and archival storage.
  4. Are you sure you need 32GB of RAM? I find that 16GB is pretty much the sweet spot for gaming these days, but if you like to leave 20+ chrome tabs open at all times, then 32 might be worth it for you.
  5. How urgent is this build? If you're buying a 2080 Super right now, you're buying a generation behind. I'd expect that it'll be a few more months until 3080s are actually available in a decent quantity, but in my opinion, it's worth waiting.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

PSA: Posting a PCPartPicker list with no explanation isn't helpful for first-time builders :)
