Budget (including currency): RM2100 (RM2600 including keyboard, mouse and display)

Country: Malaysia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Office works, Youtube.

Other details: I'm building a system for my dad. His laptop died today so he wants a new one.

So far, he doesn't need a SSD, because I just upgrade it.

Here's the list I'm going to build for him:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G (4 cores 4 threads) - RM399
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus M - RM469
RAM: 2x 4GB Kingston DDR4 2400MHz - RM158
PSU: ThermalTake GX1 500W PSU - RM289
Case: ThermalTake Versa H21 - RM159
OS: Windows 10 Home - RM475
Fan: Budget around RM150

Storage: His old laptop SSD, Kingston A400 960GB - Free

So the desktop total is RM2099.

For display and peripheral:

LG 23.8inch FHD IPS - RM429
Logitech MK200 combo Mouse and Keyboard - RM64

So, another RM495.

Which the total system cost about RM2594

I actually thinking of getting him a better motherboard (B450 Aorus Pro WiFi). MSI B450 Tomahawk, Bazooka and whatever are sold out, so no luck finding them.

The system may upgrade in the future, but not that soon (projected about 3 years).

Nuc 10-series or Asus pn50 with 4500U.

Sadly, Asus pn50 is not available.

The NUC (Core i5 10210U) however, need to add RAM and OS, and it's already RM1699, and has not much upgrade ability. But still, it's a good choice.

i would go with 3200mhz cl16 memory with an apu

Sadly, there are no 4GB RAM stick with 3200MHz at the moment. I can go for 8GB, but it's slightly expensive than listed.

According to the spec sheet, it is 17CL. Yeah, not a good RAM kit, it's a ValueRAM after all.
