Looking for Help Picking a PSU Wattage

Server_42

I am looking for a recommendation for how much wattage I need.

Specs:

  • Core i9-10900K
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB kit)
  • ROG Strix Z490-E Gaming
  • Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black
  • 6 x Case Fans
  • 3080 FE (waiting for restock)

I am planning to overclock both the CPU and GPU for everyday use. However, I also want to be able to overclock heavily for short periods of time just for scores and adjust variables to see how that affects OCs and scores on both the CPU and GPU.

I am thinking getting a 850 watt PSU currently, but I am worried that it will not be enough.

Thanks for the help in advance.

850w should be plenty, even 750w should be ok afaik

Okay, however, I also plan on OC both the CPU and GPU at the same time for testing purposes (though it would only be for testing and not long term deployment). Would 850w be enough in that situation?

Just to make sure we are on the same page.

An 850w should be fine for a 3080 FE and a 10900K with both of them overclocked at the same time?
