Peripheral devices disconnecting

 If I try to move any files off of the hdd to the internet, or fill out any form data, and submit it to a website, it disconnects everything from my pc. And this only started happening when I started using an Amazon basics usb to ethernet adapter. I can't even use word or powerpoint online or else when I type into a text box it disconnects my mouse, keyboard, and usb ethernet.
