Budget (including currency):

Country:

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

the budget for this build is 200000 DA ( Algeria)
its for my Uncle , he is an Achitect, he doesnt have issues with the 2D stuff, so only 3D is left, and he uses the Lumion 8/9/10 program to render projects in 3D, its not a big portion of his work, but he would like to make it a bit smoother,
This is the current parts list.
Ryzen 7 3700x, we are thinking of dropping it to an r5 3600 because of budget restraintes, since neither his 2D nor 3D work requires any segnificant cpu power
some B450 motherboard, havent decided yet, probably some mid tier one, maybe a tuf b450 gaming plus or something like that
GTX 1660, pretty much the top of the line without stepping into RTX territory due to budget restraints (maybe a super )
32gb 3600 Mhz memory ( he cant go lower than that)
800W thermaltake power supply that he already has
250 gb SSD and a 1TB hard drive
the main question here is should we drop down to an r5 or stay with the r7 if he doesnt need the performance jump

that software provider... has no idea what they're on about. their software supposedly requires an 80+ gold certified power supply. :D

that said, for what i can make out, its not necessarily a notably multithreaded piece of software, so you're better to look at single core performance, than to look at core count.

hahahaha
from what i have seen, while he was using the program, we had task manager up to check for system usage, and the cpu was pretty much staying at idle, when he was moving stuff around, and when he strarted the 3d render, it only used the gpu ( it was my 1060 6gb pegged at 100%)  the cpu still remained at idle usage, max was 10% i think
he should be using a Quadro for his work, but that card is worth as much as car

eh.. *should*..

as long as you're not running out of video memory it's mostly a matter of minor details.

so should he just go for the ryzen 5 3600 instead of the ryzen 7 3700x ? since his work load doesnt really use much cpu power, and his gpu isnt enough to overpower his card, he doesnt plan on upgrading his pc after this for at least 5 to 7 years
