What is the difference between

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hDZzK8/deepcool-gamerstorm-captain-360x-white-644-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-captain-360x-white and

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hymxFT/deepcool-captain-360ex-white-rgb-2296-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-captain-360ex-white-rgb

One is a bit more expensive, so I mean is one just like the updated model?

Also, I think I wanna get the cheaper one as I'm on a bit of a budget. I'm also considering https://pcpartpicker.com/product/smDkcf/arctic-liquid-freezer-ii-280-728-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-acfre00066a which is a 280mm radiator, but it is considerably thicker than the 360 models so I'm wondering what will provide more cooling? If they are all about the same I think I would get the deepcool captain one, as it's the cheapest. (On AM4 which I think all of them come with).

Best as I can tell from searching, the 360X is the newer model with 280W TDP, and support for Threadripper chips. The 360EX is 140W TDP and is AM4 on the AMD side.

What CPU are you wanting to cool? If you're on a budget, you might be better off with an air cooler.
